Why hello there, sexy bowl of patatas bravas.
As it turns out, I have a presale code so you guys can buy your tickets to the Dallas Observer’s Iron Fork coming up on April 27. But all I can think about are these patatas bravas. I’m guessing you can see why I can’t stop thinking about them, but you may be wondering where they came from or why I brought them up at all. Well, the chef who cooked up these beauties is none other than 2017 James Beard Award semifinalist Omar Flores. And he competed against the James Beard-annointed Matt McAllister in the Iron Fork Chef Challenge, moderated by Kent Rathbun a couple years ago. The challenge features two baskets of Whole Foods goods put to use in a “Chopped” style competition. Update: I don’t know who will be competing this year, but it’s gonna be tasty.
But we’re all the winners, because A) we get to watch, and B) we get to eat and drink the entire time.
So here’s the Iron Fork presale info. Get your tickets starting now.
