I’ve been bitten by the barbecue bug, y’all. So it’s a good thing that Blues, Bandits and BBQ is coming up this weekend in Oak Cliff. Friday and Saturday, you can attend this FREE event where there will be a BBQ competition featuring a whopping 23 competiting teams, a cooking demo by Chef Tim Byres, live music, a movie screening, beer (obviously) and approximately 1,000 POUNDS of meat. That’s a lot of pounds. And that’s a long list of things to do, too.

Oh, but if you want to taste all those meats, you’ll need to buy a wristband for $20.

And on a related note, Sunday is now officially Dallas Meat Coma Day. Please celebrate irresponsibly.

If you want to hit up the OC, eat meats, listen to live music, drink beers and generally have a meat party with family and friends, here’s what you need to know:

Friday, 10/26, 5pm-10pm & Saturday, 10/27, 12pm-6pm

715 W Davis St. (three blocks west of Bishop Arts on Davis)
