From what I know about Brits and pubs, their beers are much stronger than ours and they drink multiple pints per day, during lunch. I can’t so much drink a kiddie sized margarita at lunch without returning to my desk thinking I’m HILARIOUS and finding out hours later I was very, very wrong. Them Brits are strong folk.
I digress. The British Beverage Company is taking the place of the formerly shit-tay Hully & Mo in the Quadrangle AKA The Quad. I happen to work quite close (like 2 stories straight up) so I sauntered down and snapped this pic of the extensive outdoor space. No more excuses for eating at Baker Bros. (As if there were ever an excuse to do something terrible like that), friends, because now you can chill outside with beers, wines and meat pies. And scotch eggs and mulligatawny, and bangers and fish and chips. All the usual suspects. Plus like 45 wines and champagnes by the glass, 50 draught beers and 100 bottles. Which means plenty to get your all-day drink on. And they’re conveniently open from 11 a.m. to 2 a.m.! Uptowners rejoice!
