Dallas Observer Iron Fork is a big culinary event that the Observer puts on every year. Kind of like Iron Chef but without any weird guy eating a raw yellow pepper. Or maybe Chef Rathbun will eat a raw pepper this year, who knows. Anyway, if you want to see for yourself how many raw peppers will or will not be eaten this year, you’ve got to go to Iron Fork on Wednesday, April 29.
This year, I get to do a Dallas Observer Iron Fork presale and VIP ticket giveaway you guys!!
But first, here’s a bit more about Iron Fork:
“Whole Foods presents the Dallas Observer Iron Fork, a grand tasting event that will take place on April 29th at Centennial Hall at Fair Park. The center stage will feature the Chef Challenge moderated by restaurateur Kent Rathbun. Two top chefs will receive a basket of ingredients and will go head to head for the prestigious Iron Fork award. It’s simple: each chef will receive a basket of ingredients, including one mystery ingredient. It’s up to them to battle for the glory and the coveted Iron Fork award.
During the event, attendees will enjoy the chef challenge, tastings from local restaurants, alongside wine, beer and cocktail samplings.”
Tickets go on sale on March 4, but because you know me and you read this blog, you can get them presale-style, before they’re available to the general public with promo code FOODBITCH. Lucky you.
Presale starts: February 26th @ 10am
Presale ends: March 4th @ 9am
So. What’s all this about VIP tickets being given away? I’m glad you asked. VIP tickets mean early access to the foods and eating of the foods, free valet before 6:30pm, and access to a special cocktails and bites section just for other VIPs like you. Want the super special pair of VIP tickets I have to give away? You guessed it: the entry form is on Instagram! Tag me (@askfoodbitch) and the person you’d bring with you in a picture of your favorite meal so far this year with the hashtags #IronForkDAL and #foodbitchVIP. I’ll choose a winner this Friday at 4pm, so if you don’t win you’ll still have plenty of time to buy your tickets before they sell out. Good luck and see you at the FORK!
Note that you’d better be following me and the @DallasObserver if you want to win. Just saying.
Disclaimer: The Dallas Observer contacted me and offered me to opportunity to host this contest for my readers. As such, they are giving me a comped pair of tickets to attend the event as well as a pair to give away.
