You know what’s awesome? That moment you decide to have pie for lunch. That moment happened to me on Friday morning, and pie for lunch I did indeed have.
Emporium Pies, if you haven’t heard of it, is a pop-up-concept-turned-real-live-pie-shop in Bishop Arts. That’s right, just pies. And everything about it is cute as a button. A whole button shop of adorable fucking buttons that sells only buttons, actually.
Right? Spider mums dot the cute little tables in this adorable little house.
Packaging? Adorably green, hand stamped and hand tied.
Pies change seasonally and come in flavors like The Drunken Nut, Smooth Operator, Mellow Yellow and Cloud Nine, which I ordered after some internal debate. Actually, all cards on the table I ordered a slice of Cloud Nine to eat, a slice of Mellow Yellow to go, and an entire Smooth Operator to freeze and serve at a dinner party later this week.
This was incredible. Salty caramel, butterscotch and meringue atop an excellent crust.
Pies by the slice are $5, whole pies are $30.
