Street’s Fine Chicken is now open for lunch and dinner, in the space once occupied by the original Black Eyed Pea in Oaklawn. And before you lament what’s dead and gone, there’s good news: What’s come to roost in its place is owned by the same family that introduced Black Eyed Pea (the chain, not the band) and apparently also the chicken fried steak (so thanks for that, Street family!) to Texas.

Anyway, here is the menu and damn. I’m ready to get down on some chicken, be it roasted, toasted, fried or turned into a sin killer, whatever that is. Stay tuned, because I’ll be in there soon. And if you visit before I do, tell me what’s good in the comments or tag me on Instagram!
