Chefs for Farmers is an event I’ve been excited about for quite some time now. It’s taking place on May 6 from 1-5pm at Lee Park. There will be food from over 30 local chefs, wine and cocktails plus DJ musicalities. There will be a pop-up farmers’ market, because anything “pop-up” is so hot right now. There will be local legend Stephan Pyles! There will be Kent Rathbun! There will be Dean Fearing! There will two McCallisters. Yes, those McCallisters. There will be sponsors, including FreshPoint, Patrón Tequila, Lee Park Conservancy, Whole Foods and Edible Dallas and Fort Worth. Best of all, there will be a donation of 100% of the proceeds to Meals on Wheels of Tarrant County and Water for Chizavane.
