Things are getting hot and fast in the food-item delivery universe. There’s Caviar, Postmates, Favor, UberEATS and all the other ones… and now UberEATS isn’t just a tab within the Uber app that can get some people food really quickly during lunch during the week, it’s a standalone app with almost 100 Dallas restaurants, double the service area and hours from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. That’s good news for folks who were out of the service area before. Basically, this new app launch is a big deal in the Dallas food delivery world.
I must say, though, I do like the super-quick availability and simplicity that the 11-2 lunch time UberEATS Instant Delivery Menu offers, which is why I’m glad they’ll be keeping that around. But on to the new stuff…
The sparkly new service area includes Downtown, Uptown, Bishop Arts, Deep Ellum, Design District, Oak Lawn, Highland Park, University Park, Knox-Henderson, Lower Greenville and Lakewood.
Some of the “nearly 100 restaurants” we’re talking about include the likes of HG Sply Co, Unleavened Fresh Kitchen, East Hampton Sandwich Co., Pakpao, El Bolero, Monkey King Noodle, Bolsa Mercado, Oddfellows, Empire Baking Co., SPIN! Neapolitan Pizza, Rex’s Seafood, and more, according to a press release that we media folks received yesterday.
I know. Inside I’m all “BREAKFAST TACOS BREAKFAST TACOS BREAKFAST TACOS COFFEE!!”
It’s all very exciting. I’m looking forward to taking a good long gander at some of the available restaurants, as well as making sure my Lakewood abode is good and covered. I’m sure you’ll want to do the same, so go ahead and download the app, and learn more at ubereats.com/dallas.
