Description

While I’ve been a tad bit preoccupied of late with the #foodbabies, I did get to have a fabulous last hurrah for a while at Savor for an excellent media dinner with some really great people, great food and service. I was already excited to try Savor as I’m a big fan of all things Klyde Warren Park (I still cannot believe it actually happened!), and this dinner cemented my recommendation of Savor as a great dining spot.

If you are following me on Instagram (and if not, why the hell not?!), you’ve already seen these delicious dishes, but feel free to take another gander and take note; order some of these when you hit Savor for date night.

This smoked salmon creation was to die for. Smoked, cured and roasted with delicious accompaniments like chutney and celery root, this was my favorite savory dish of the night.

A bit heavy, but still delicious, this plate of braised short ribs and mac and cheese still managed to be imaginative thanks to a very creative chef.

Chocolate peanut butter pretzel bite. Enough said.

The desserts certainly get a lot of attention at Savor, what with their cuteness and abundance. But truly, all the food shines here. I was most impressed by chef Coleman’s creativity in his menu. The combination of flavors were non-traditional, but nothing felt off or out of place. It just worked. And his passion was clear as he presented his dishes to us at the table. He was so excited, and that’s good to see. Savor is a beautiful space with a great view, delicious food and good service. What more can you ask for — a park on top of a highway?! That’s CRAZY TALK. Oh, wait…

NOTE: This media was comped, as I was invited as a guest of the restaurant. That being said, if I were not tethered to my home right now with twin #foodbabies, I’d have been back on my own dime several times by now. Please to enjoy!
