As an official Austin Food & Wine Festival Blogger Ambassador, one of my official ambassadorial duties was to write about my experiences for the festival and present my findings to the powers that be so that my words might be published on the official blog of the festival. So. Damn. Official. This was indeed exciting. With great power comes great responsibility, I hear. Being the professional that I am, and taking my non-job very, very seriously, I took dubious mental and photographical notes (see #AFWFest on my Instagrams — sorrynotsorry) during the Taste of Texas and Rock Your Taco evening events I was to cover for the fest. I did it for you guys.
Anyway, if you weren’t able to follow along during the festival, or you were, but you become so ravishingly hungry that you slammed down your phone in a white-hot, hangry rage and ran out for a hot mess from Pecan Lodge to calm your aching belly, please, go ahead and read my official 2015 Austin Food and Wine Festival Taste of Texas recap and Rock Your Taco event recaps on the official AFWFest blog.
And then, please enjoy some additional photos from my trip to Austin and the festival itself. It was a foodie paradise and I hope you get the chance to experience it yourself one day. If you’re into that sort of thing. Y’know, day drinking, stuffing yourself with tasty items and being in one of the coolest cities on earth.
PLEASE NOTE: My media pass to the Austin Food and Wine Festival in lovely Austin, TX means my access to the festival was very much COMPED by the festival itself. Thus I did not have to pay for entrance to the festival or any of its nighttime events.
